Mattie

For those of you who are also "likes" on facebook, you already know I have a business partner. Her name is Mattie (my 9 year old daughter) I have had many questions about what her job description is. Well most of the time she is the one who says LOVE, KIND OF, or NO WAY! Every once in a while she does WORK! On this beautiful HOT morning she actually helped out!!! I even have pictures to document this occasion!

Let's try to add some pictures!

This will be the first time I am adding pictures to the blog and as I type this it has taken me 6 times at this point so we will see if this time it works!

This was a custom rescue! My customer had tried to do this piece herself but after painting the bottom passed the porch onto me.

So....I beat it up a tab and the put a tan base coat on both pieces, beat it up a little more, painted everything red....then painted the decorative flag (I say that because on my facebook page a "fan" comment that if was an abbreviated flag) I will say I do know that our WONDERFUL American flag has 50 stars and 13 stripes! Anyway......after the flag was dry, I put antique glaze over it and then sprinkled a bit of black glaze on the top. When ALL of that was finished I gave it a good sanding!

I am going to say......I AM SORRY!!! for this blog and the pictures randomly placed all over the place. I will try to study up on how to do this correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It is an ADD day

On the TO DO list today:

1.Finish painting a HUGE set of lockers.
2. Prime the following
a. dresser
b.vanity
c. coffee table
d. bed
e. doors
f. kitchen hutch

Things I really want to do today:

1. Lay out by the pool with my kiddos!

I tell you all this to tell you I am having a very bad ADD day! I have no desire to paint the lockers and the more I work on them the less I want to! My right hand is blue not to mention the inside of my nose (sorry, if this is TMI) and I have already used 4 cans of spray paint and it has not even came close to covering it. None the less I WILL FINISH THIS TODAY!!!!! (maybe)
I am not sure why this is killing me so much, possibly because there is not a lot of creative thought that has to go into spraying some lockers! (BTW, I dont know if the lady that I am doing these for reads this but just in case this post is not at all a reflection to how I feel about you! haha I am thankful for the opportunity to serve your decorating needs!!)

Anyway,when and if I ever get the lockers finished I will post pics and I am sure they will be Denver Bronco locker room worthy!!

First Post

Well here goes....I am not sure about this blogging thing (I am sure that I am one of a million people who have wrote that) I am starting this blog so I can have a little more freedom with my posts then what I have on facebook. I am wanting to use this a place to through out some painting ideas and receive input back. ( I know, novel idea) So there it is my first and possibly only post!
